Electric actuator

Electric energy is used to drive valves in on-off or modulated control service.

Electric actuators can operate many types of valves like, butterfly, plug, ball, gate, globe, etc.

The advantage of electric versus hydraulic or pneumatic actuators is that they can move valves of large dimensions or with high torque values with much smaller equipment, thus reducing the cost of additional equipment like piping and complete systems for supplying air or hydraulic oil, among others. In addition, it has to be taken into account the possibility of more failure points.

EXaL Technology can supply electric actuator types for, quarter turn, multi-turn and linear movement.

In the event of a power cut, the actuator leaves the valve in the last position.
